I am finally making my pie debut with a recipe that is so easy to pull off, you won’t be able to stop making them. I mean, who wouldn’t be able to spare 10 minutes in order to enjoy a freshly baked Hand Pie?

All day long is what I’m thinking :).

You could definitely fill them with anything you prefer, but I have always had a thing for cherries. I have great memories of my grandparents and me driving to a cherry farm and picking them fresh from the trees. Afterwards, we’d always sit on their balcony and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Before summer is coming to a close, I knew I wanted to create something that would bring back those fond memories of my childhood. Bite by bite, these amazing little pies are doing just that! [Read more...]

This blogging thing has become one of my most favorite things to do in my spare time. I always look forward to getting to put my post together and talk to all of you. But I’m not going to lie, some days I am more excited ab0ut sharing a recipe than others. Not because of the quality of the recipe (I seriously love them all and wouldn’t be sharing them if I didn’t), but whenever I get to click publish on a recipe that brings back memories or that helped me conquer a kitchen challenge (and therefore creating a memory), I have a hard time hiding my excitement. And I wouldn’t want to.

Creating a Hi-Hat dessert was a serious and intimidating task for me, but I am so glad I tackled it and am ready to have you join me in on the fun! [Read more...]

I have really been into glazing everything lately and these bars are no exception. It makes everything so much better ;).

When I was in the process of making this recipe, I couldn’t help but think of the new season that’s right around the corner. Don’t get me wrong, I am not ready to bid adieu to summer just yet, but these bars are a slight nod as to what’s ahead.

Lovely aromas, flavors that will leave you feeling cuddly and warm inside, and everything autumn has to offer is about to take over the food world. Some of my fellow bloggers have already started to whip up a couple of amazing fall-inspired treats, which is getting me more and more excited about all things cozy and comfortable.

But I am not quite ready to welcome said season and am intend on enjoying every last day we have left of summer, which probably comes as a shock to no one.

So Apple Pie Bars it is. Always scrumptious, always a winner, no matter the season. [Read more...]

Twisted Cinnamon Roll Dunkers

A fun twist on cinnamon rolls – literally. This is a real treat for breakfast that’s easier to whip up than traditional cinnamon rolls. Kids and adults will love them!

I have breakfast on my mind.

Every so often I develop a huge craving for all kinds of breakfast foods and can’t keep myself from making them. Waffles and bacon, anyone? How about a veggie-studded frittata? The occasional bowl of cereal sneaks in too. Cooking up breakfast is huge for me since I usually can’t get anything down before 10 AM or so. And I am not about to stop.

If I had to choose which breakfast item is my favorite, it would definitely be a tie between donuts and cinnamon rolls. Yes, I am one of those people that can’t pick just one.

I usually make either one on weekends and for special occasions, but since school has or is about to start for most kids, I couldn’t help but think if cinnamon rolls could be made in a matter of minutes before heading out to school or work. And the answer is YES.

These Twisted Cinnamon Roll Dunkers are ready to sweeten your week. [Read more...]

Cookies ‘n Cream Cookies

My favorite cookies stuffed with Oreos and Cookies & Cream Chocolate Pieces. These cookies are full of crunchy and creamy goodness.

cookies-'n-cream-cookies So, we made it. After almost 72 hours, 2 flat tires and a total of 1000 miles traveled, we’re back safe and sound. I am happy to say that Kansas did not disappoint with stilling my longing for hot summer days. So glad that I was able to experience at least one 90 degree day this summer J. My brother-in-law is set for another year of school and we already can’t wait to go back for graduation next year!

The only thing that didn’t go as planned (besides the 2 flat tires, which were no biggie to fix), was that I forgot to pack my newest cookie creation – these Cookies ‘n Cream Cookies. I’d always wanted to make my own version of Cookies ‘n Cream Cookies and thought that they would be just the thing to bring on a road trip.

cookies-'n-cream-cookies Well, my mind totally spaced and forgot about packing said cookies (how that happened, I do not know), which meant that I had to bake a batch of good ‘ol chocolate chip cookies dorm room style upon arrival. Just as scrumptious, but not quite the same.

Don’t get me wrong, nothing beats a good chocolate chip cookie, but once you bake a batch of cookies and cream ones, they’re all you can think about. [Read more...]
