Since Halloween is less than 24 hours away, I thought I’d share my favorite candy with you. Peanut butter and chocolate is pretty hard to beat. Whoever invented that fabulous combination deserves some kind of a price. Seriously. While I happen to have other favorites, Peanut Butter Cups are my first choice almost every time followed by Snickers. With the success of copying the famous Reese’s Cups, I am getting giddy just thinking about the endless possibilities of candy-making in the comfort of my own home. Did I mention that you’ll only need 2 ingredients to produce your own PB Cups? Yes, it’s true – easy, peasy, out-of this-world-lip-smacking Chocolate Cups filled with rich and creamy peanut butter are about to boggle your mind. Here we go!

Homemade Nutella
A simple recipe is here to sweeten Monday mornings. Do you love Nutella? It goes without saying that I do. Eating chocolate for breakfast? I mean, it really doesn’t get any better than that, does it? The addition of hazelnuts gives the spread a wonderfully nutty flavor; adding a whole new dimension to the silky, smooth taste. If you have never tried it, please go ahead and give it a go. For those of you that know all about the lusciousness in a jar – rejoice. This homemade version is just as tasty as the store-bought kind and is ready to enjoy in no time. Continue reading
Halloween Popcorn Mix
With Halloween less than a week away it was definitely time to make Halloween Popcorn Mix. I couldn’t think of a better recipe for the spooky holiday. It is so easy and quick to prepare. A recipe that will tickle your imagination. Once the base is prepared, you will be able to customize your snack mix according to your liking or depending on what types of candy your kids will have left over the next day. I am not a huge fan of Halloween. Scary movies, ghoulish-looking treats, and clever costumes aren’t really my thing. While I adore the fall season and all it has to offer, All Hallows’ Eve is probably the only thing that doesn’t thrill me – except for the candy sales the day after everything has been said and done. Now that is something I can get excited about! That and the possibilities the sales bring for this snack mix. I am confident you will love this Popcorn Mix as much as I do.
Ultimate Butterscotch Chocolate Pretzel Crunch Cookies
Can we talk about favorite things for a second? One of my absolute most sought after snacks the last couple of weeks have been Pretzel Crisps. I am hooked and can’t get enough! It all started one lovely fall morning whilst strolling through Costco. I usually try to avoid little stops at their various stands with free samples to try. I know better… so I thought. With lunch just around the corner and knowing that I would be home within the next 15 minutes to grab something wholesome, I had just about sidestepped every possible temptation. Thinking I was in the clear I averted my eyes from my targeted checkout lane (which was about 20 feet away from me), when I perceived and spotted Pretzel Crisps. Thanking the lovely gentleman who handed me the tiny cup and taking my first bite, I immediately knew I had made a mistake. I ended up leaving the store without purchasing a bag of my new discovery, but couldn’t stop thinking about them. Needless to say, I returned a week later and purchased a bag of Dark Chocolate Crunch Pretzel Crisps. Don’t you just love the name? Waiting an entire week to make my return, I couldn’t help but dream of recipes that would feature the “reinvented pretzel”. Get ready for an overload of mouthwatering pictures showcasing Ultimate Butterscotch & Chocolate Pretzel Crunch Cookies! Continue reading
Easy Caramel Apples
Hey there! Since I’ve been somewhat slacking in posting recipes that embody fall, I couldn’t help but pull out good old Caramel Apples. Traditional caramel apples usually call for melting a whole bag of caramels, dipping your apples in the gooey sauce and smothering them in loads and loads of candy. While I am a big fan of described apples, I have never enjoyed the process. Too messy and sticky for my liking. Each fall, I usually rope my husband into lending me a hand, i.e. I melt the caramels and he takes care of the rest. While he enjoys the occasional job as sous chef, I happen to know that caramel-apple-dipping is also not at the top of his list of favorite kitchen activities. This is exactly why this recipe was born. Homemade Caramel Sauce is poured over freshly diced apples and topped with candy. Mess-free, easy to eat, and every bit as delightful as your traditional caramel apple.
