As 2013 comes to a close, I can’t help but think about all of you, my lovely readers! Though my journey of writing this little food blog of mine has only just begun, it has been one of my absolute highlights of this year. There is no telling where 2014 will take Deliciously Yum, but I am more than eager to find out. Wherever it may lead, I know it will be delicious :).
Thank you all so much for your love, support, comments, sharing, repinning and countless emails! Here’s to a blessed, fantastic and SWEET new year. 2014, here we come!
Wow, the end of 2013 is so imminent. Whether you can’t wait for the new year to finally commence or are sad to see this year go, you should definitely go out with a bang or ring in 2014 full of anticipation and with one of the most amazing snack mixes that have ever come out of my kitchen! This is absolutely no exaggeration. I mean, look at it. All I could say while preparing this crunchy awesomeness was whoa, whoa, whoa. It gets better and better with every single step. Expressions that followed the first couple of bites shall not be named in this post – you will soon know for yourself!
Peanut Butter, Chocolate, and Butterscotch are all stars in this recipe. One snack mix that satisfies pretty much everyone at the same time. It is pure insanity, but oh, so worth it and fitting for tomorrow’s NYE party. If you have 10 minutes to spare, you have more than enough time to make this! Continue reading →
I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas this year. After all the indulgent food and sweets we consumed over the last couple of days (chocolate fondue, anyone?), I was in the mood for a healthy yet satisfying snack. As we sat dipping all sorts of fruits, marshmallows, and pretzels into the ever-continuing stream of chocolaty-goodness of our chocolate fountain, I was reminded of a recipe I had seen a couple of years ago on Food Network. Slices of mandarins or clementines dunked in chocolate… only this time I decided to sprinkle sea salt on top. If I had to live on this snack for the rest of my life, you would hear no objection from me! It’s the most addictive thing I’ve eaten in a long time.
There’s no better time to enjoy these than right now. Mandarin Oranges are so abundant and couldn’t be tastier. Extremely sweet and juicy – loved and adored by young and old. You might have some laying around the house todays since it’s a common stocking stuffer. Turn them into this fun and gorgeous snack!
I may or may not have devoured this entire bowl in one sitting. It holds segments of about 4 mandarin oranges, which means I got plenty of Vitamin C and antioxidants that day. Living healthy is outrageously tasty! Continue reading →
Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and wish you a very Merry Christmas! I hope this day is filled with lots of happiness and joy for you all. I could not be more thankful for you and everything you do to support Deliciously Yum! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We’ll continue to take off a little more time to celebrate with family, friends and good food! Lots of love being sent your way from our home to yours.
Few days feel as special as the eve of a holiday or celebration. I have mentioned before that I am lover of eves of big and small occasions alike. This one in particular deserves extra recognition as it’s not only a holiday but also a deeply spiritual day for me and my family. Our hearts are filled with excitement, gratitude and wonder as we ponder the events of this night so many years ago in our hearts. We celebrate the birthday of Jesus with a special cake every year, singing “Happy Birthday” and blowing out candles. Grandma will prepare her chocolate cake with white frosting while I wanted to go a different route this year. Brownies and chocolate started to swirl in my head and before I knew it, I had whipped up a batter of ooey gooey red velvet brownies and prepared the most outrageous chocolate frosting in history. No really. It’s epic!
This is my Christmas gift to you. I can’t think of a more festive-looking treat to serve on Christmas! If you love chocolate, you should make these. If you really, really, really love chocolate, these are a must. And if you outright adore chocolate, I know you’ll be making these. See? You and me. Practically BFF’s. Continue reading →
