Tuesday Love List

  bake-it-magazine

I know it’s long overdo, you guys. Love Lists are back! I hope you enjoy these types of posts because I really do ;). There are a lot of exciting things in today’s post, so let’s get started.

1. If you’re a regular reader, you might remember me talking about some freelance projects I’ve been blessed enough to work on. It’s finally time for me to let you know about one of them. A couple months back I got asked to shoot the cover for the lovely magazine you see above. I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get started. To say that I absolutely loved working on this, would be an understatement. I seriously had the best time and can’t even tell you what it felt like to hold this magazine in my hands. Beyond special and I immediately wanted to make donuts :).

It was released last Tuesday and is available on newsstands nationwide. I feel so weird telling you about this. I am SO not a salesperson and hate talking about myself, but I just have to give a massive shout out to the incredible team that puts these magazines together. The writing and recipes are absolutely mouthwatering – you will want to make EVERYTHING. I am not one that advertises a lot of things unless I truly and absolutely love them. This magazine is incredible and I am not just saying that because I got to work on it.  I feel so honored to appear with some of my fellow bloggers in a publication because they are so talented and create some of the best stuff! Oh, and I just want to mention that the recipes I am sharing on the cover are new and exclusive to the magazine. If you can’t seem to find it, but are interested in purchasing a copy, click HERE.

2. The Tangle Teezer. Have you heard of this amazing brush? I finally gave in and purchased one at Target the other day. Hair changed forever. Where has this brush been all my life? I have pretty thick & long hair and have been looking for something that would be gentle enough on my hair, but still gets the work done. If you’re looking for the one and only brush you’ll ever need, this is the one. Also, I think this brush would be great for kids that hate getting their hair done. Can’t say enough good things!

3. Siggi’s Pumpkin Spice Yogurt. Can’t stop won’t stop. Continue reading

Real Deal Waffle Donuts

Waffle Donuts that require no yeast and are ready in 15 minutes or less. Glazed or dunked in chocolate… you choose!

Hello Everyone!

I just realized that Wednesday is October 1st. I had to take a second look at my calendar because in my mind it was still September 20th or something like that. This month has flown by. Boom. Over. Maybe I was so surprised because we were blessed with amazing weather these last couple of days. 3 days of 80-degree weather in a row is almost too good to be true. It felt like summer was back in full swing and I loved it.

And the only thing that could put me into an even better mood, was a fresh Waffle Donut in my hand. 15 minutes later I was dunking my first one into luscious chocolate and felt sooo many happy feelings all at the same time.

Sprinkles were inevitable, of course. Waffle Donuts or “Wonuts” are a thing, you guys. And you should definitely make them. Continue reading

Cookies and Cream Pumpkin Kiss Brownies

Brownies stuffed with Pumpkin Spice Kisses and topped with a layer of Cookies & Cream and Chocolate. These are dangerous – in the best possible way!

Happy Friday, friends. I am so excited Friday is finally here. Not just because it’s the end of the work week and the weekend begins, but I finally get to share these brownies with you.

It’s not like I had to wait an eternity to get around to blog these, but when you’re not the most patient person in the world, 5 days feels like forever. I know I could have switched things, but brownies and Fridays just go together.

It all started when I tried Hershey’s pumpkin spice kisses a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know why, but I had never had them before. Which was a total surprise to me. Since I love anything pumpkin spiced and have pretty much tried everything available, I had not idea how the kisses escaped me.

All I knew was that I needed to make a recipe that called for them and preferably didn’t use the whole bag ;). I needed to have a couple leftover to keep myself occupied while waiting for the brownies to cool and set. Continue reading

Maple Glazed Poppy & Cranberry Pumpkin Muffins

Healthier Pumpkin Muffins filled with Poppy Seeds for texture and Cranberries for natural sweetness. The Maple Glaze sets them over the top!

This is my first actual fall post now that autumn has officially arrived and things are definitely beginning to look like it. The leaves are changing color and I cannot wait to see fall in all its bounty. Though this season tends to be rather short in MN, it sure makes up for it in radiance and breathtaking beauty. Definitely one of the reasons why living here is so worth it.

Also, I feel much more comfortable talking and thinking about all things cozy and warm when we’re in the season. It just feels right.

And so do these muffins. Sharing a muffin recipe was a must for me this season. I knew I wanted to add some of my favorite fall flavors and these muffins are it, you guys.

They’re healthified, extremely scrumptious & satisfying and an absolute must-make. Continue reading

Chick’n Nuggets {Copycat Recipe}

Chick’n Nuggets that are anything but average. These meatless nuggets are packed with flavor, perfectly dippable and no, you won’t even miss the meat.

Raise your hand if you have a secret love for chicken nuggets. Both of mine are definitely raised high. Every now and then I develop a huge craving for my childhood favorite. The last time I ordered them at an actual fast food restaurant I seriously cannot remember.

I do however remember walking the isles in the grocery store, debating whether or not I should give in and buy a bag of frozen chicken nuggets. When I stumbled upon the “better for you” section and discovered Morning Star’s Chick’n Nuggets, I immediately reached for a box or two.

Healthy Chicken Nuggets. Is this for real?

I felt great about having made a better decision, but deep down I was questioning if I had wasted a bunch of money. I couldn’t pop them in the oven fast enough once I got home.

May I just say that I have been buying box after box ever since. I even had a friend taste-test just to make sure I wasn’t imagining that meatless nuggets actually do taste as good as I thought.

It took me a while to perfect the recipe, but I’m finally ready to share my homemade version. If you love chicken nuggets and are looking for a healthier, delicious, and completely made from scratch option, you have come to the right place. Continue reading
