Butterfinger Bites made in the comfort of your own home with only 3 ingredients. Happy Halloween indeed!
Hey Everyone! Yep, Halloween is finally here. Today’s high is a balmy 37 degrees. Just like that we’re saying hi to winter. We can’t really complain though. This fall has been absolutely gorgeous and the weather was beyond perfect. Ever year I am hopeful that the kids will be able to go trick or treating without having to dress warm underneath their adorable costumes, but so far no such luck. Oh well, the extra “stuffing” definitely adds to the cuteness factor.
And just in case you’re anything like me (aka childless) and aren’t able to dig into your munchkin’s candy stash, I have an amazing recipe for you today. Because in my mind Halloween is all about the sweet stuff.
Also, if you find yourself left with ridiculous amounts of candy corn or if you do have kids, but they didn’t return with any butterfinger bars, then listen up.
Bread Pudding made with Glazed Donuts, Chocolate Chips and topped with a Creamy Custard Sauce. Mmmmm!
I don’t even know where to begin. Just in case you have leftover donuts in the house, you might want to give this recipe a go. Also, if you actually have some on hand, you and I might not have much in common. In my world, leftover and donuts do not go together nor do they exist. Period.
I thought long and hard and am positive that we have never had “old” donuts in the Deliciously Yum household. Which means today’s recipe had to be carefully planned and I was in need of some serious supervision.
I enlisted the help of 1 husband, 3 kitties (who would have loved to share those glazers with me. Anyone else’s cats crazy for bready things? We found out one summer that 3 felines and a bag of hamburger buns can turn into a cat feast in a matter of minutes. Who knew and who can blame them?), and 2 guinea pigs.
As you can see I made it, though it wasn’t without struggles. But it was 150% worth it.

A seriously genius way to get your cookie fix. Baked in a cast iron skillet, bursting with Nutella and cookie perfection!
Welcome back, everyone! There is no time for small talk today. We have some cookie business to discuss.
I am sure you’ve come across skillet cookies aka pizookies on the internets over the last couple of months. I’ve been seeing them everywhere and even though I’ve been the proud owner of a cast iron skillet since May of this year, I stayed away from creating any types of dessert with it because I had an inkling it’d be dangerous. But I have to admit that’s the first thing that popped into my head when I purchased mine at a flea market while we were on a family vacation.
I actually couldn’t wait to put it to use once we got back. And boy oh boy, have I been loving it. While I’ve come to use it for pretty much every meal I prepare, I finally caved and made dessert last Saturday. While I am sure there were other options, I just knew I had to go with some kind of skillet cookie.
I don’t think you need an explanation as to why. All I have to say is, go get your stretchy pants on and start making this unbelievable treat! Continue reading →
It’s Candy Bark Time. Besides chocolate, you’ll find marshmallows, candy corn and peanuts in one of my favorite barks to date!
Happy, happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Maybe getting ready for a Halloween party or finishing your kid’s costume?
I’m going to be honest, Halloween isn’t my holiday. I’ve never understood the fascination with creepy and scary things. I’m a total wimp and honestly cannot wait for it to be over. Which means our neighbors across the street will finally take down their bloody zombie ghost from the front door. Even though it’s been there a couple of weeks now, I am still taking a double take every time I look out our window. Enough already! November 1st can’t come soon enough.
Said date also means that Halloween candy will be on sale. Now that’s something I can get on board with. I might have to move my weekly shopping trip around a bit just so I can snag a bag or two. If you ask me, you can never have enough candy corn around the house. I know some people aren’t a huge fan, but when you combine candy corn with peanuts and chocolate, you have yourself a treat that’s hard to beat.
Unless you throw it all together and make yourself this Halloween Bark. Mind BLOWN! Continue reading →
These no-bake cookies have it all – fudgy indulgence without the guilt, crunchy bits, and are 100% filling. They’re so good you can even enjoy them for breakfast!
Is there anything better than cookies that only take a couple of minutes to prepare from start to finish? Not in my world. Well, maybe there is. I have way too many feelings when it comes to chocolate for breakfast. Yes and yes.
I am blaming Trader Joe’s for today’s creation. If you still can’t get enough of pumpkin, TJ’s is your place. It’s the one store I look forward to visiting the most every week. Three words: All. That. Pumpkin.
From Pumpkin Body Butter (best ever), Pumpkin Croutons to Pumpkin Sea Salt Caramels. I love it all. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, I picked up a box of Pumpkin Spice Granola. I am now unable to leave the house without a taste of it. I wish I was kidding.
It was only a matter of time before I ran out of conventional ways to enjoy said granola and incorporated it into cookies. Mornings never looked and tasted so yummey! Continue reading →
