Easter Brownies

Brownies are one of the most loved desserts no matter the occasion, but this Easter version deserves special recognition!

Welcome to a new week, friends! I can officially say that I’ve caught the Easter bug. That’s bug and not bunny, ha! After the weather started to decline over the last couple of weeks, I had a hard time getting into the mood. But I’m happy to report that I’m all in. It’s amazing what a couple of sprinkles, pastel Easter eggs and chocolate can do for you. Also, the temps are looking to be much, much warmer – just in time for an outdoor Easter egg hunt this coming weekend. I’m talking about the little cousins and not us, of course.

We actually started things off yesterday with our first family get together for Easter. Which was the perfect time to whip out a brownie recipe I had been working on for the last couple of weeks.

I know I have plenty of recipes featuring homemade brownies on this blog already, but the itch for perfection and my all-time favorite brownie recipe never went away. And I doubt that it ever will. Much like I can’t choose a favorite of all the cookie recipes I’ve developed and written about. I seriously love them all. It really just depends on what mood I’m in or craving at the moment. And right now I simply can’t get enough of super fudgy, extra chocolaty (triple chocolate) and unbelievably chewy brownies.

Turtle Bites

One of the easiest and tastiest sweet treats you can make in the comfort of your own home. The perfect crowd pleaser as well!

Hello Friday! The weekend is finally here and I’m in the mood for something slightly salty, a lot of sweet, and a tad bit of crunch. How about you? Also, lazy Friday nights call for easy peasy snacks… at least in my books. The last thing I want to do after the work week is spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, I love our little kitchen, but after a long day I’d much prefer our couch, ha.

That’s right. The hubby and I are the kind of crazy people that love to stay in, watch a movie aka Netflix, and enjoy some mouthwatering food. Yup, we’re old young people. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Homemade food, a comfy spot and my handsome man – can you blame me?

Peaches and Cream Sheet Cake

Need to feed dessert to a crowd? This scrumptious Peach Sheet Cake is just the thing you need!

Easter is finally on my mind. Realizing that Palm Sunday is this weekend and our first family gathering in celebration of Easter is happening in just a few days, caused me to figure out what my contributions should be. Just in case you’re finding yourself needing to feed a rather large family, I decided to whip up a festive and springy sheet cake that pretty much everyone will love.

Making peaches the center of attention was the best decision. I don’t know why but I’ve always loved peaches more than any other fruit in my desserts. And given the fact that a lot of you have been loving this Peach Cobbler Snack Cake, I thought I’d step it up and make a version that easily feeds a good amount of your loved ones.

Maple Glazed Donuts

Baked Spiced Donuts dunked in an amazing Maple Glaze. One of my very favorite donuts to date!

Donuts are a must today. They’re the only thing distracting me from what’s happening outside. Given the fact that spring suddenly decided to take a break and let winter strike again with a ridiculous amount of snow, I think we all deserve a donut break.

Even if you’re blessed enough to live in a place where spring has truly sprung, you might want to think about giving these donuts a go. It’s Monday and all of us can use some sweet encouragement to make it a good week ahead.

And to ensure it really is a good week, I decided to go with a baked donut. One that doesn’t sacrifice in flavor, taste or texture and is every bit as delicious as it’s fried counterpart. No, really. Soft and Chewy M&M Cookies

Classic M&M Cookies that are perfectly chewy and soft. So yummy!

I made us cookies! It’s Friday and I was feeling the cookie vibes to celebrate. Nothing too crazy or new. I just felt like whipping up some classic cookies because sometimes nothing beats a good tried and true recipe. Am I right?! Plus, mini m&m’s and mini chocolate chips remind me of my childhood so much. The first time I baked my own batch of cookies, I vividly remember m&m’s playing a huge roll. I’m pretty sure nothing has changed when it comes to the amount of chocolate versus cookie dough I decided to go with. Hehehe.

We all know how I feel about more of everything when it comes to baked goods. Basically, one can never have enough :). And since I bought the bag of mini m&m’s specifically for cookie baking purposes, I thought I’d better use as much of them as possible. Because leftovers in chocolate form are a dangerous thing.

I will forever hold a special place in my heart for these cookies. And am so excited to share them with you today!! Continue reading →
