Caramel Apple Cider

What’s better than a cup of warm apple cider? Caramel Apple Cider, of course! Mmmmm.

Caramel Apple Cider

I know. Another Caramel Apple recipe coming your way today. If you’re not a big fan of one of my favorite combos (isn’t that obvious?), I promise you there’s much more variety ahead. Shortly after finishing Wednesday’s recipe for Perfect Caramel Apples, this happened. I was inspired, wanted a warm drink, and had everything on hand to make a wonderful Fall drink – Caramel Apple Cider. Just like the one you can order at Starbucks. Have you ever tried one of those? Pretty much the bestest thing in the whole wide world. At least this time of year.

Caramel Apple Cider

This homemade version totally holds up to the original. Once you find out how quick, easy and affordable it is to make your own, you’ll ask yourself why you haven’t tried making it earlier. That’s precisely how I felt. I am so excited to be sharing this recipe with all of you today, especially since autumn has just started. Which means there’s plenty of time to enjoy this drink all season long. Yay! Continue reading

Peach Iced Tea

Homemade Peach Iced Tea. As easy as 1, 2, 3.

Peach Iced Tea

If you don’t want to say goodbye to the long holiday weekend, you’re not alone. I’m protesting the start of another work week with more Peach Iced Tea. Since that’s all I’ve been sipping on over the last 3 days, I figured it’s the easiest and tastiest way to keep the 4th of July vibes going.

Iced tea is my drink of choice in the summertime. I am a tea lover all year round and always look forward to the warmer months when this iced beverage tastes the best!

Peach Iced Tea

Out of all the months of the year, July is definitely my favorite. Too many reasons why, but the fact that peaches are in season RIGHT NOW is definitely one of them. Nothing beats a perfectly ripe, juicy and sweet peach.

And in order to incorporate even more peaches into my life, I decided to add a peachy twist to my much loved sweet tea recipe. Continue reading

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake

A Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake that’s healthy?! Yes, yes indeed.

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake

Hands up for thick, rich, creamy, and just the right mix between chocolate and peanut butter. Skip the drive-thru and enjoy a “milkshake” that you can be proud of and will leave you feeling beyond fantastic.

Today’s concoction is the perfect example of breakfast, lunch or even dinner in a pinch. That’s how filling and satisfying this milkshake is. You could, of course, sip on it post-workout as well. And by making one simple addition you can totally amp up the protein in this shake.

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake

I don’t know about you, but I usually don’t care for protein powder. The taste, texture (grittiness, to be exact), and flavor is something I’ve never gotten quite used to. And yes, I’ve tried many different kinds. But blended into this amazing shake, you get all the benefits you want from protein powder but without any of the negative affects.

Whether you decide to add protein powder or not, this shake is equally as delicious. Continue reading

Strawberry ‘n Pineapple Lava Flow

Making smoothies in style à la Lava Flow. This strawberry and pineapple concoction is the best thing to enjoy on a HOT summer day.

Strawberry 'n Pineapple Lava Flow

Oh, how I love a good smoothie. When we find ourselves in the midst of summer (or just about) all I want is a fabulous smoothie and homemade sweet tea. If one could live on those two alone, I absolutely would. Years ago I made up my own sweet tea recipe and now I make several pitchers every week. I wouldn’t change a thing and can confidently say that it’s my favorite drink of all time. Smoothies, on the other hand, are a different story.

Strawberry 'n Pineapple Lava Flow

Smoothies are fair game. I like to switch things up, discover new combinations, and simply like to clear out my fridge and see what I can come up with. Most of my experiments are pretty tasty and ultra slurp-worthy.

When I spotted a can of sweetened condensed milk in my pantry one sunny morning, I was feeling naughty. Because that’s what it feels like when you drizzle that luscious milk into a super healthy smoothie. The best kind of naughty.

You NEED to give it a go. Continue reading

Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

“Hot” Chocolate becomes the ultimate frozen treat. Complete with Salted Caramel, Whipped Cream and Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

Welcome back, everyone. Did you have a good weekend? We attended number 1 out of 4 graduations this past weekend. Celebrating my brother-in-law’s achievement of becoming a graduate student and moving on to the next chapter in his life.

During the ride to Kansas and even on our way back, I was certainly dreaming of the frozen drink I’d made just a couple of hours before. Friday’s recipe inspired me so much that I couldn’t let the caramel-chocolate-pretzel combo go. I was having too much fun playing around with some of my favorite flavors when it comes to all things sweet.

Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

And to be honest, a bar of blondies tastes that much better when accompanied by a frozen hot chocolate drink. We’re talking milkshake, slushy and frosty all in one. That’s right. This frozen hot chocolate is a mixture of all three. Which basically means it can’t be anything but amazingly delicious. Continue reading
