Jelly Filled Donut Holes

No fail Donut Holes filled with Jelly. You won’t be able to stop munching on these!

With the end of January drawing near, I thought that I would miss my chance to indulge in some type of Jelly Donut. Last year I made you these. And I am so glad I was able to squeeze in some time to give donut holes a go and continue my January tradition of all things donuts and jelly. Alright, alright, I didn’t really have to make time. I actually happily ran into the kitchen and started to whip up the dough – nothing gets me going like the promise of fresh, still warm inside, and perfectly poppable donut holes.

Just when I thought things couldn’t get better in the donut department, these cute-as-a-button bites, proved otherwise. Of course I’d heard of donut holes before. But every time I go to get a donut at a bakery where donut holes are sold, I didn’t think twice about ordering the minis. Why bother with the small stuff when you can indulge into a big, beautiful donut instead?

But these homemade treats flipped my world upside down. Let me tell you more about these cuties and find out how many more times I will use the word donut in this post ;). [Read more…]

Festive Old Fashioned Sour Cream Donuts

We’re pulling out a well-loved treat aka Sour Cream Donuts. An oldie and certainly a goodie!

Well, hello there, Friday! I had to check my calendar twice today. Can’t believe the weekend is already here, which is, of course, a fabulous thing. And it just so happens that we’re talking donuts today. It was meant to be!

Not that I actually wait until the weekend to enjoy a donut or two. Every day is more than appropriate to savor one of my all time faves ;). But celebrating the weekend makes it that much more special.

Also, a recipe that delivers on flavor, brings back memories and all those happy feelings without a whole lot of work deserves a special spotlight. There’re no scary yeasty experiments happening here. No long waiting time and minimal donut making skills required as well. A great one for beginners and experienced donut lovers alike.

What’s not to love?! [Read more…]

Real Deal Waffle Donuts

Waffle Donuts that require no yeast and are ready in 15 minutes or less. Glazed or dunked in chocolate… you choose!

Hello Everyone!

I just realized that Wednesday is October 1st. I had to take a second look at my calendar because in my mind it was still September 20th or something like that. This month has flown by. Boom. Over. Maybe I was so surprised because we were blessed with amazing weather these last couple of days. 3 days of 80-degree weather in a row is almost too good to be true. It felt like summer was back in full swing and I loved it.

And the only thing that could put me into an even better mood, was a fresh Waffle Donut in my hand. 15 minutes later I was dunking my first one into luscious chocolate and felt sooo many happy feelings all at the same time.

Sprinkles were inevitable, of course. Waffle Donuts or “Wonuts” are a thing, you guys. And you should definitely make them. [Read more…]

Classic Cinnamon-Sugar Mini Donuts

Sometimes classic is best. Since Cinnamon-Sugar Mini Donuts are my favorite, I of course had to make my own. Addictive little things!

Yay for Friday! Are you ready to conclude another work week and enjoy the weekend? Of course you are ;). This week went by super fast for me. Don’t really know why, but when I realized today is Friday, I was sort of stopped in my tracks.

Thinking I had another day, I totally didn’t get around to making what I was going to share with you today. Thinking that I didn’t have a recipe for you today (which I wouldn’t let happen), I discovered that I had never published my go-to Mini Donut Recipe. Noooooo!

Don’t asked how I could’ve missed it, but better late than never! And how fitting that this recipe was hiding until today. What’s better than a bag filled with cinnamon-sugar mini donuts to celebrate the weekend with? I know. I think it was meant to be.

Pumpkin Spice Brulée Crullers & Honey ‘n Spice Glaze

Classic French Crullers with a scrumptious Fall twist and drizzled with a Drippy Honey and Spice Glaze.

French Crullers aka my favorite donuts of all time are back. And this time bursting with fall flavors and dripping with a finger-licking glaze.

It had to be done. Saturday morning was the picture-perfect fall day. The sun was shining in all its brilliance, crisp air smelled wonderful, and I was holding a freshly steeped cup of tea. The only thing missing… a donut, of course. My sweet hubby didn’t have to ask twice to hold one of them in his hands.

Oh, I should probably stop and apologize for already having two recipes with the words pumpkin spice on here. This early in the season. And in a row. Sawy! I seriously wasn’t planning any of this, but it happened, and it was absolutely dreamy. Can’t get enough! A fair warning – we have only just begun, but I’ll make sure to have lots of variety for you guys in the next couple of weeks as well.

Will you indulge me for another couple of minutes though? I promise it’s worth it ;). [Read more…]
