Looking for the perfect Caramel Apple recipe? You’ve come to the right place. The ultimate dipping caramel ready in 15 minutes or less. This iconic sweet treat is a must this season!
Caramel Apples at last. Getting to the point of holding a perfect caramel apple in my hand was quite the ordeal. Batch number 1 involved burned caramel (always use a thermometer) and standing on my chair whilst waving a towel at my smoke detector. Our kitties were less than amused and neither was I.
The second batch decided to turn into a grainy mess and started to slip right off of my apples. Frustration levels were high. Very high.
I never got around to making caramel apples last year and as I was at the brink of giving up, I took another glance at my list of things to make. I couldn’t bear to see caramel apples still on said list waiting to be made the following year. It simply had to happen NOW.
I finally decided to ditch the new, fast, and so-called “easy” caramel recipes I had been playing with and went the traditional route. And guess what? Batch number 3 was what I call perfection. And even though it might seem a bit more involved than other recipes out there, it actually was quite simple, easy, and fairly quick. Who would have thought?
Chubby Hubby Truffles feature Creamy Peanut Butter, Pretzels, and are dipped in Chocolate. Psst – they’re not just for husbands!
Can somebody tell me why in the world I’ve never heard of Chubby Hubby Truffles before? I hope I’m not the only one who had no clue what chubby hubby referred to. I was definitely intrigued and instantly knew that I would most likely be in for one scrumptious little bite. My suspicion was confirmed once I did more research.
In case you have no idea either, here are 3 words that sum up the deliciousness that are chubby hubby truffles – peanut butter, pretzels, and chocolate.
3 magic ingredients that basically guarantee a successful sweet treat. The moment I found out about them, I immediately went into my kitchen, whipped out everything I needed, and planned to surprise Adam. He was working hard on a landscaping project outside and most definitely deserved something special. Plus, I knew that he’s always willing to share, which may have given me extra encouragement to make them right then and there. Continue reading →
White Chocolate Fudge that’s been studded with M&M’s and Oreos. One of the tastiest small bites around!
If you’re a lover of m&m’s, oreos and white chocolate, this is the treat for you. Fudge in the middle of summer?! We’re totally doing it.
I don’t know why, but fudge has been a holiday staple for quite some time. I never really make it any other time of year, but upon realizing that I’ve never shared a fudge recipe with you, I decided to break the routine and whip it up anyway. Also, patience is not my strong suit and when I get really excited about a recipe, there’s no way I could wait another 5 months to tell you all about it.
Turns out, fudge is a fabulous treat to make in the summer. It’s a super quick, easy, and no-bake recipe. You don’t need any fancy equipment and just a few minutes of time. You all know that’s my very favorite kind of recipe.
Plus, it totally showcases chocolate and candy – which is basically the best thing eva! What’s not to love?
When thinking about my fudge debut, I really wanted to incorporate some of my all-time preferred goodies – oreos and m&m’s. You could, of course, choose any combo you like, but I’ve always been a big fan of the texture and crunch oreos add to fudge. And you can never go wrong with m&m’s. They’re pretty much self-explanatory. Continue reading →
Peanut Butter Cups move over – Almond Butter Date Bites are about to steal your show. Since they’re healthy, indulgent and super easy to make, you really don’t stand a chance.
Oh my! Can we take a second and talk about how awesome almond butter is? I realize that I might be the last food blogger/person on earth who had never tried it before. I am happy to report that my curiosity finally got the best of me and I bought a jar just a couple of days ago. The verdict – it’s completely empty.
A classic case of I didn’t know what I was missing, but I’m so glad I finally discovered it. Better late than never, for sure!
And before giving myself the chance to eat it straight out of the jar by the spoonfuls, I figured it would be best to do some recipe testing while I was at it.
So I returned to the store, grabbed a package of medjool dates, dark chocolate and got to work. The only thing I knew was that it needed to be something I could make in no time, would qualify as a healthy snack and crush all of my almond butter/sweet cravings. Check, check and check! Coconut, Caramel and Shortbread Cookies covered in luscious Dark Chocolate. You will adore these little bites!
It’s Friday! I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time. Easter is one of my very favorite holidays. I certainly love any occasion that allows me to prepare some special treats and go all out in the food department. And don’t even get me started on the candy. I am smitten by those cute Lindt chocolate bunnies every year – the perfect treat for any Easter basket, if you ask me :).
But this weekend means so much more. I am beyond humbled that I get to celebrate and rejoice in the life God has given me through his Son, Jesus Christ. I already cannot wait to wake up Sunday morning, go to church and proclaim once again that Christ is risen! Now and forever. I’m getting goose bumps just thinking about it.
It is my prayer, that you, my lovely readers, know Christ and receive the gift that he so generously offers to all of us. I’ve never mentioned this before, but I often pray for everyone that visits Deliciously Yum to develop an eternal relationship with the one and only Savior. So much sweeter, more satisfying and awesome than anything I could ever whip up in my kitchen….
Although, the sweet treats that are waiting for you today are beyond mouthwatering and absolutely incredible! Continue reading →
