Tuesday Love List

  bake-it-magazine

I know it’s long overdo, you guys. Love Lists are back! I hope you enjoy these types of posts because I really do ;). There are a lot of exciting things in today’s post, so let’s get started.

1. If you’re a regular reader, you might remember me talking about some freelance projects I’ve been blessed enough to work on. It’s finally time for me to let you know about one of them. A couple months back I got asked to shoot the cover for the lovely magazine you see above. I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get started. To say that I absolutely loved working on this, would be an understatement. I seriously had the best time and can’t even tell you what it felt like to hold this magazine in my hands. Beyond special and I immediately wanted to make donuts :).

It was released last Tuesday and is available on newsstands nationwide. I feel so weird telling you about this. I am SO not a salesperson and hate talking about myself, but I just have to give a massive shout out to the incredible team that puts these magazines together. The writing and recipes are absolutely mouthwatering – you will want to make EVERYTHING. I am not one that advertises a lot of things unless I truly and absolutely love them. This magazine is incredible and I am not just saying that because I got to work on it.  I feel so honored to appear with some of my fellow bloggers in a publication because they are so talented and create some of the best stuff! Oh, and I just want to mention that the recipes I am sharing on the cover are new and exclusive to the magazine. If you can’t seem to find it, but are interested in purchasing a copy, click HERE.

2. The Tangle Teezer. Have you heard of this amazing brush? I finally gave in and purchased one at Target the other day. Hair changed forever. Where has this brush been all my life? I have pretty thick & long hair and have been looking for something that would be gentle enough on my hair, but still gets the work done. If you’re looking for the one and only brush you’ll ever need, this is the one. Also, I think this brush would be great for kids that hate getting their hair done. Can’t say enough good things!

3. Siggi’s Pumpkin Spice Yogurt. Can’t stop won’t stop. Continue reading

Thursday Love List

grateful via

1. It feels like forever since I’ve done a Love List and honestly, it has been. January somehow zoomed by, so I knew I had to write this months’ list ASAP. I love doing these posts and I hope you enjoy them, too. It offers a break from our regular programming and gives me a chance to share some other things I adore besides food!

I wanted to start by saying thank you and just how much it means to me that you take time out of your busy schedules to stop by and share the love. I will never grow tired of expressing my gratitude because I care about all of you so very much and I feel incredibly blessed. It is such a wonderful feeling to wake up each day, knowing I get to do something I absolutely love. I can’t express what it feels like to pull up my blog in the morning (or any time of the day, really) and see your sweet comments and emails. Thank you doesn’t even come close to expressing my gratefulness, but I hope you know how much you are appreciated!

2. I am so excited about the Winter Olympics that I can hardly contain myself, but it’s finally here! Today! Just in time since football season has officially come to an end. Like most people, I look forward to watching the popular sports like figure skating and skiing, but am also excited about all the new sports being introduced this year. Go Women’s Bobsled Team!

3. These picture have been around a while, but I needed to include them in this post. Stunning!

4. My husband and I watched the Creation vs. Evolution debate on Tuesday between Bill Nye and Ken Ham. Even though it’s pretty long, we enjoyed it very much. If you’re interested in that sorta thing, you can check it out here. Definitely recommend!

5. I’ve been wanting to use my camera more for personal use and am looking for a great “photo a day challenge”. If you have any you tried and liked, please let me know. Continue reading

Thursday Love List

christmastree

1. Our Christmas tree. I could sit in our living room all day, sipping a cup of tea and looking at this beauty. We have twinkling lights on it this year – so pretty.

2. Speaking of tea. Have you guys tried Teavana? We just got a store at our mall and I am so smitten. I purchased their Peppermint & White Chocolate Rooibos a couple weeks ago. So well balanced and flavorful. I see lots of tea tastings in my near future.

3. Christmas baking. My oven is always running and I enjoy baking any time of year. Something about Christmas makes it a little more special and these couple of weeks have been the best blogging experience so far. I’ve enjoyed sharing and creating recipes tremendously and love seeing you comment and support Deliciously Yum! Thank you for making this Christmas season even sweeter for us :).

4. Don’t open a bag of these. So delicious and addicting.
