One of my all-time favorite cookie bars. It’s hard not to love a bar with a beautiful graham cracker crust, seven layers and sweetened condensed milk.
Hi there! Did you have a good weekend? Around these parts, we enjoyed spending time with family, eating good food and celebrating Easter, of course. I always look forward to Sunday Morning. There’s nothing like getting ready for church, eating a special breakfast and attending worship at our church.
Needless to say, Easter is really close to my heart. I had the opportunity to sing in our church choir this past weekend, and watching countless hands being lifted up while singing songs to God never gets old. I still get goosebumps just thinking about it. Since worship was so sweet and fulfilling, I figured dessert needed to follow suit.
And what better than a pan of bars that consists of 7 layers?? I have been wanting to create this recipe for some time now. It’s practically been burning a hole through my notebook of things to make.
Let’s just say these bars were the appropriate goodies to make for a joy-filled and fun day!
They’re so satisfying, rich, and bursting with all kinds of delicious add-ins. The stars are pretzels, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, sweetened coconut flakes, peanut butter cups & chips, and last but not least white chocolate chips. How much did you love that last sentence? Nothing better than a long list of mega yumminess!
There’s minimal cleanup. All you need is a small bowl to make the graham cracker crust. Press that into a baking pan and pile on all of the sweet morsels and pour the condensed milk over the entire pan.
You will have a hard time restraining yourself not to dig in right then and there. It’ll look amazing even without having baked your incredible creation yet.
Be prepared to whip up one of the best bars ever. It’s an epic experience, really.
Now I don’t need a special occasion to prepare a pan of these though. Let’s just say a Monday would do :).

- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 3/4 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup mini peanut butter cups
- 1/4 cup peanut butter chips
- 7 ounces (half a can) sweetened condensed milk
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- 1. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press into an ungreased 8x8-inch baking pan.
- 2. Add pretzels in an even layer. After that add a layer of chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut flakes, white chocolate chips and mini peanut butter cups & peanut butter chips. Drizzle with sweetened condensed milk. Press mixture down firmly using a large spoon.
- 3. Place in the oven and bake for 27-30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
- Bars will keep up to 1 week stored in an airtight container.
YES to every one of these ingredients! I just love 7 layer bars. We make them around Christmas time to pass out to the neighbors. Which means I make 2 pans and keep 1 for me. Haha! They’re just too good : )
Thank you so much, Natalie. I will have to remember that for when Christmas rolls around again ๐
In my opinion this is one of the best bars ever. I’m drooling just thinking about how good the taste.
Thank you, Kathy. Totally agree – one of the best bars ever!!
Girl, I absolutely adore you. I think of Christmas when I see a seven layer bar, but here you are posting this recipe in Spring! I love you for this! I think pretzels are my favorite part of this recipe! I have never thought to put them in a seven layer bar! You’re so smart. ๐ I’m so happy you had a great Easter weekend! xo
Thank you so much, Justine. Life is too short to make them only once a year :). I can’t help it – my sweet tooth doesn’t care about what time of year it is, ha!
I love 7 layer bars! So much that I requested them for my birthday one year. My mom was so shocked I didn’t want cake…but she didn’t complain because making these took much less time. ๐ I don’t know which part of these bars is my favorite. Good thing I don’t have to choose!
Easter service is my most favorite service of the year. So energizing and amazing!
Thank you, Ashley! I could totally see myself requesting these as well since they are one of my favorite bars. Like you said, so many good things going on all at once. Hope you had a great Easter weekend, too!
I am SO into seven layer bars! This is such a great reminder to me to make them again, because it’s been months and my husband goes CRAZY for them. I love your variation with pretzels and pb cups!
Thank you so much, Elizabeth. Pb cups and pretzels just had to make an appearance in these bars. I can’t help it ๐
How awesome that you sing with your church choir. Isn’t wonderful how something so simple can make you feel so good inside. I’m thinking these delicious looking bars would also make you feel good inside too ๐ Hope you have a great week!
They definitely do. Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Cindy :). Hope you’re having a great week so far!
SO CLASSIC. These are one of my favorite ooey-gooey treats. I’ll take 7, one to “study” each layer ๐
You’re a woman after my own heart, Erin. Thank you so much!
These look incredible! I love seven layer bars and I love the long list of mega yumminess you added in here! So glad you had a great Easter weekend and that’s wonderful that you sing in your church choir too ๐
Thank you so much, Kelly. Your sweet comments always make me smile ๐
Wow is all I have to say just after seeing that first photo. These bars are incredible, Kathi! I love every single drool-worthy layer. It’s not even 8am and I kind of want to grab a few of these bars out of the screen and stuff them in my face! LOL ๐ pinned!
