Hi Everyone! My name is Kathi and I’m completely obsessed with lemons. I thought I’d give you a couple of weeks after posting these lemon bars before hitting you with another lemon dessert. And just when I couldn’t wait any longer, I finally decided to share the cake of my dreams with all of you. Because I happen to be convinced that this is the one thing everyone should serve for their Easter Sunday brunch.

Happy November, friends!

I am so excited that this month has finally arrived. Not only are we this much closer to Turkey Day and Christmas, of course, but one of my personal favorites is just around the corner. My hubby’s birthday. I look forward to celebrating his special day every year and this one is no exception.

We’ll have a big birthday celebration here on the blog next week, and in the meantime I’ll be sharing a couple of recipes I’ve been making in preparation.

Um, is there anything better than a big piece of cake to enjoy on your birthday? I am all about chocolate and couldn’t help but top this one with a luscious chocolate glaze.

Before I get into exactly what I’m loving about this cake, I should probably let you know that the only reason why this cake didn’t make the cut for birthday week, is the fact that it screams Kathi instead of Adam. Hahaha.

Whew. How did it get to be Monday already and how in the world are we in the middle of April? Is it just me or have the last couple of weeks been flying by?

Like I mentioned on Friday, we attended a family get-together for Easter this past weekend and somehow started planning our summer. Lots of fun activities and mini vacations are in the work – it’s bound to be an eventful summer this year! I’ve already grilled dinner almost every night last week and had my first frozen yoghurt with a dear friend on Saturday. To say I’m excited about everything this warm weather has to offer would be an understatement.

Let’s not mention that it began to snow as we were headed home last night. I am choosing to ignore the temporary dip in temperature at this point. Warm weather HAS to be inevitable!
