Twix Cookies

Buttery Shortbread, melt-in-your-mouth Caramel, and luscious Chocolate. If Twix candy bars are your thing, you will absolutely love these cookies!

Twix Cookies

Happy Friday to you. This weekend will be the first one in several weeks that we don’t have anything special planned. And I am more than okay with that. Don’t get me wrong, I am always up for an adventure, an experience or a spontaneous trip, but getting to spend 2 full days with no plans and my favorite person, is giving me all the excited feels. In preparation, I decided to whip up a batch of cookies that would help us to properly relax and enjoy the days ahead.

Twix Cookies

Over the top cookies inspired by Twix candy bars, to be exact. If you have a thing for homemade shortbread cookies, chewy caramel, and a thick layer of chocolate, then I don’t think you need much convincing to try them for yourself.

Twix Cookies are the ultimate treat! Continue reading

Easter Brownies

Brownies are one of the most loved desserts no matter the occasion, but this Easter version deserves special recognition!

Easter Brownies via Deliciously Yum!

Welcome to a new week, friends! I can officially say that I’ve caught the Easter bug. That’s bug and not bunny, ha! After the weather started to decline over the last couple of weeks, I had a hard time getting into the mood. But I’m happy to report that I’m all in. It’s amazing what a couple of sprinkles, pastel Easter eggs and chocolate can do for you. Also, the temps are looking to be much, much warmer – just in time for an outdoor Easter egg hunt this coming weekend. I’m talking about the little cousins and not us, of course.

We actually started things off yesterday with our first family get together for Easter. Which was the perfect time to whip out a brownie recipe I had been working on for the last couple of weeks.

I know I have plenty of recipes featuring homemade brownies on this blog already, but the itch for perfection and my all-time favorite brownie recipe never went away. And I doubt that it ever will. Much like I can’t choose a favorite of all the cookie recipes I’ve developed and written about. I seriously love them all. It really just depends on what mood I’m in or craving at the moment. And right now I simply can’t get enough of super fudgy, extra chocolaty (triple chocolate) and unbelievably chewy brownies.

Loaded with some of Easter’s finest candy. Sounds good? Let’s dive right in! Continue reading

Homemade Butterfinger Bites

Butterfinger Bites made in the comfort of your own home with only 3 ingredients. Happy Halloween indeed!

homemade-butterfinger-bites

Hey Everyone! Yep, Halloween is finally here. Today’s high is a balmy 37 degrees. Just like that we’re saying hi to winter. We can’t really complain though. This fall has been absolutely gorgeous and the weather was beyond perfect. Ever year I am hopeful that the kids will be able to go trick or treating without having to dress warm underneath their adorable costumes, but so far no such luck. Oh well, the extra “stuffing” definitely adds to the cuteness factor.

And just in case you’re anything like me (aka childless) and aren’t able to dig into your munchkin’s candy stash, I have an amazing recipe for you today. Because in my mind Halloween is all about the sweet stuff.

Also, if you find yourself left with ridiculous amounts of candy corn or if you do have kids, but they didn’t return with any butterfinger bars, then listen up.

This is where candy lovers unite! Continue reading

Candy Corn Peanut Butter Cups

Candy Corn, Peanuts, Chocolate. Do I need to say more? Best candy creation ever!

Today’s recipe is for everyone who can’t stop reaching into that bag full of candy corn. Oh, and peanut butter cup lovers too.

My affection with everything peanut butter and chocolate is well documented on this blog. I even have a super simple recipe for homemade peanut butter cups (that require only 2 ingredients) already on the blog. When I’m in a cinch, I totally whip up a batch of those and have my way with them. But today’s version is slightly different. I jazzed it up a bit and made some delicious additions.

I actually got the idea while eating a mix of candy corn, roasted peanuts, and chocolate chips the other day. Best fall snack… hands down! So I thought that the only thing better would be a handheld sweet. And I was totally right. All of my cravings in one little cup.

Addictive little things, these are. Continue reading

Easter Chocolate n’ Candy Nests

These little “Easter Nests” are almost too cute to eat. A fun and easy treat that’s no-bake and comes together in minutes.

Easter-Nests

In case you are still looking for something sweet to add to your Easter menu, I have just the right thing for you today.

I wasn’t sure if I should post a recipe as simple as this one. It basically requires no skill and has been around forever. But when I made these over the weekend, I remembered how much I love these tiny nests and had to put them on the blog.

They were practically begging for it.

Easter-Nests

One reason why these nests are so irresistible is the fact that they hold the trinity of all things delicious. Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Butterscotch. Combined with crunchy Chow Mein Noodles and finished with Easter candy eggs, they make for the ultimate sweet surprise. Plus, they have that serious cute factor.

Now that’s my definition of Easter Eggstravaganza! Continue reading
