Dark Chocolate and Raspberries are starring in this make-ahead French Toast Casserole. Finished with a Homemade Raspberry Syrup. Can you say yum?
Hello Everyone! Oh breakfast, how I adore you. Especially when you’re ready to be put into the oven in the morning and all I have to do is wait, relax on our couch, and sip on a cup of tea. Theee best!
I have made this casserole countless times. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you might remember this Overnight Blueberry French Toast Casserole that I posted over a year ago. It’s been by far one of my most popular recipes I’ve posted and I constantly receive new comments and emails telling me how much you love it too, which makes me happier than you can imagine.
I also receive plenty of questions regarding this recipe, so I thought I’d make it again, pay close attention to exactly how I prepare it, and share some more info with all of you.
At least that’s my excuse for whipping up this beloved casserole once again. I really have been dying to make a Dark Chocolate Raspberry version for quite some time. Continue reading →
Are you ready for a blast of dark chocolate, raspberries and doughnuts? Good. You are about to find out the best way to enjoy all three!
As I am typing this post, we are getting ready for a road trip to Kansas, helping my brother-in-law move. I just love a good road trip and can’t wait see what this weekend has in store for us, even though there’s a little bit of work involved, ha.
Since our MN summer has been lacking the hot temperatures that are normal for this time of year, I am beyond elated to be heading somewhere hot and humid. While temperatures in the high 70’s make for a comfortable summer for most people, the summer lover in me cannot wait to finally break a sweat.
One good thing about the “low” temps is that I haven’t had a reason not to turn on my oven. I’ve been happily baking away lately. Eating sweet treats and going for a run in gorgeous weather…. does it get much better than this?
Actually, yes. Eating doughnuts without having to work out would be even more amazing, but we’re talking about reality here. There’s no greater motivator than finishing my run when these fluffy doughnuts of wonderfulness are awaiting me. It’s the biggest reason why I work out.
Kathi loves food just too much, especially doughnuts. Best Ever Glazed Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Doughnuts to be exact! Continue reading →
3 layers of Chocolate and Cookie Butter topped with luscious Salted Caramel Sauce and Chunks of Biscoff Cookies.
As I am typing this post, the pictures you see here have not yet been taken. That means that this recipe has not been taste-tested and I have no idea how the pictures are going to turn out. Always a scary situation as a food blogger. Now, I do have an inkling that this candy bark will not disappoint once I get to remove it from the fridge where it’s currently setting.
While I was making this bark, I definitely did my job well and took a bite of everything that went into it. I mean, I had to make sure that the cookie butter was good and the salted caramel sauce was just right. You never know if the manufacturer made a mistake when creating Biscoff cookies and chocolate always needs to go through quality control before it enters any of my recipes. But you already knew that, didn’t you?
So I asked myself how bad can it really be?? Is there such a thing as too much chocolate, caramel, or cookies? Since I answered all of those questions with a resounding no, I thought it was safe writing today’s post.
Either way, I am going to share this recipe with you!
It’s actually a fun experience to write my post before I get to see the final product. Today is backwards day for me, ha! I can hear myself typing faster and faster… I hear Cookie Butter & Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookie Candy Bark calling my name! Continue reading →
Can you handle another sprinkle-filled post? I really wasn’t planning on topping these doughnuts with colorful sprinkles, but once I dipped them in a luscious glaze, they practically begged for some. And I just wasn’t tough enough to say no. Now that I am looking at these doughnuts, I am more than glad I grabbed a handful of rainbows. Never say no to sprinkles – lesson learned.
Doughnuts are one of my favorite breakfast items, snacks, and desserts. I love their versatility. I guess you could say I am somewhat obsessed. Always have been. It’s the one thing I could never say no to – my kryptonite, if you will.
Since I am such a doughnut fan, I was extremely hesitant to trying a baked version. I thought it sounded well in theory, but didn’t think they would satisfy as much as the “real” thing. Boy, am I ever glad to tell you how wrong I was. I am positive I’ve never been more surprised or more elated when my misconceived notions were shattered in our small MN kitchen. If you haven’t already, you have got to try these! Continue reading →
It has happened! We finally got some snow at the beginning of the week. And let’s be honest, nothing puts you into the Christmas mood more than the fluffy white stuff. With the flakes gently falling to the ground, I was basically drawn to the kitchen. And could I really have made anything besides cookies? Not just any old cookie would do – oh no, no, no! It had to be one of the best. A cookie that is chocolaty, rich and rolled in sprinkles. Lots and lots of sprinkles. It’s gonna be delicious!
