Brownie Dessert Pizza spread with a Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting and some of our Favorite Fruits!
There’s nothing like fresh fruit in the summertime. The amount we’ve been consuming lately is slowly getting out of control. With no end in sight since the best of summer’s produce is yet to come. With Memorial Day right around the corner, I really wanted to make a fun dessert that showcased my love for chocolate and fruit once again. Plus, it’s been a hot minute since my last brownie dessert.
If you’re a fan of dessert pizza, then you will certainly love this version. The idea for pizza in dessert form came to me last weekend on our Kansas trip. We’d stopped at Pizza Ranch to enjoy a quick meal with family. If you’ve been there before, you know that one of the highlights is their dessert pizza. Now, they don’t offer the brownie and fruit version you see here, but as I sat their devouring my two slices of their “Cactus Bread”, I secretly was craving something with a bit more chocolate and chewiness.

It’s Friday – Hooray! I realize that the Super Bowl is right around the corner and you might have anything but healthy breakfasts on your mind right now. Just bear with me. I feel the same way and cannot wait to dig in and eat all the chips and dip I can get my hands on come Sunday night. But first things first. As long as healthy translates to dessert, I can talk about it all day long no matter what.
Plus, this is what I’m loooving right now. And I’ve got to tell you all about it. As per usual :).
And I secretly cannot stop saying acai and am taking every opportunity I possibly can to repeat it over and over again. I think Adam is quite happy that this post is going up today, so that I can finally stop talking about it… whenever I get super excited to share something with all of you, but have to wait a couple of days to do so, I kinda obsess over it. I doubt that’ll change after today, but getting it off my food brain feels real good.

Once I realized that summer is just around the corner, my fruit cravings immediately set in. So of course it was only a matter of time before I would make a dessert featuring some of my favorite fruits.
They had to be miniature and come together in a matter of minutes. I am the least person who wants to be trapped inside working on dessert while the beautiful Minnesota summer lasts – time is of the essence. We’re not taking any second of the warm rays for granted :).
I am tempted to say that you only need 3 ingredients to make these. Puff pastry, whipped cream and the third one being fruit. Can I count that as one ingredient? I’m confused, but I am going to go out on a limb and say that fruit counts as one ingredient. You could use only one kind of fruit after all. But let’s get not too technical. Okay? Good. Here’s the dip that never ceases to amaze those that taste it for the very first time and those that have been eating it for years and years alike. It’s doesn’t look extremely amazing, but you will be hooked at first taste. It’ll forever have a permanent place on our table. A recipe that has been in my husband’s family for generations. It originated from his Grandma’s kitchen, made it’s appearance on my husband’s dinner plate since childhood and continues to do so to this day. It’s his favorite dip of all time. Sharing it during his birthday week seemed more than appropriate.
