Can somebody tell me why in the world I’ve never heard of Chubby Hubby Truffles before? I hope I’m not the only one who had no clue what chubby hubby referred to. Chubby Hubby Truffles

3 magic ingredients that basically guarantee a successful sweet treat. The moment I found out about them, I immediately went into my kitchen, whipped out everything I needed, and planned to surprise Adam. He was working hard on a landscaping project outside and most definitely deserved something special. Plus, I knew that he’s always willing to share, which may have given me extra encouragement to make them right then and there. [Read more…]

These bars make me feel like I’m a kid again. I get excited just at the sight of them. And I figured now was the best time to feature another no-bake treat. Isn’t that all we want when the temperatures won’t give us a break, but we’re still looking for a homemade treat? I know it’s all my heart desires ;).

No-Bake Sweet and Salty Cereal Bars

This time around, I knew that I wanted to combine sweet and salty ingredients. If you’ve been reading my blog for a little while, you are well aware that I love that combo oh so much. I mean, how many salted caramel recipes have I featured in the past? Too many to list and there’s no end in sight. But this time around, I decided to go with pretzels, pecans, and a fun amount of m&m’s. And the outcome was more than fab. [Read more…]

Take 5 Cookies

Chocolate Cookies inspired by my most loved candy bar – Take 5.

Things are getting real. Thanksgiving is almost here and I’m preparing by munching on some fabulous cookies. Because no matter how busy things get, there’s always time to take a cookie break. And no holiday would be complete without them.

Right now I am just trying to soak in the excitement before the big day. Since the “eves” of holidays are one of my favorite parts of any special occasion, I already woke up giddy this morning.

One more night and I’ll be able to eat all the stuffing I possibly can. That’s right I am all about that stuffing. What about you? What are you looking forward to the most?

But in the meantime, I’m keeping myself occupied with these cookies. Because if we’re really being honest, nothing beats an amazing cookie. Especially stuffed with caramel, chocolate chunks, pretzel pieces and peanut butter chips.

You know you want one. [Read more…]

Devouring a pretzel or two has been a staple almost every time we visit our mall. Never did I think that the same soft pretzels could be duplicated in the comfort of our own home.

Take Five Bites

Take Five Bites by Deliciously Yum!

I’ve been on a no-bake kick the last couple of days. I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had throwing things together and see what the outcome is. Peanut butter has been in the center of it all. You can pretty much pair anything with that delicious nut butter and have a fabulous-tasting concoction. After all of my experimenting, I had some leftover ingredients. As I looked at the caramels, pretzels, leftover chocolate bars, peanuts, and peanut butter, one thing came to mind. I had everything on hand to make my very own version of Take 5 candy bars. There are no words how excited I was. Yep, I’m easily entertained.

Oh, and the fact that I added a sprinkling of sea salt to the top probably won’t surprise you. Pretty much anything containing chocolate deserves a sprinkling of coarse salt. That’s the beauty about making your own version of something you love – you can make it even better by adding other ingredients you can’t live without. Brilliant! [Read more…]
