Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding

One of Fall’s favorite desserts – Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding. Get your spoons ready to dig in!

Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding

You guys, bread pudding is having a moment. At least in my life. There’s a local restaurant in our town that makes an incredible basic version. But there are only so many times one can visit the same restaurant several nights in a row and only order dessert before people start noticing and the credit card starts to smoke. So I finally decided that enough was enough.

It was time for me to stop being lazy, put my bread pudding skills to the test and start experimenting with yet another version. Plus, it gives me the perfect excuse to consume copious amounts of said pudding in order to get it just right for the blog.

And since this is the season of all things pumpkin, I couldn’t help but put a pumpkin spice spin on my current favorite dessert. Let me tell you one thing – I don’t think I’ll be going back to that restaurant any time soon. This made-from-scratch Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding is calling my name. Plus, I can whip it up for a fraction of the cost and enjoy a healthy helping in my comfy clothes watching one of our binge-worthy shows. It’s da best! Continue reading

Hey all! Happy Friday!

Alright, I should have pronounced this week pumpkin week from the start. But just in case you were looking for a non-pumpkin treat today, this recipe can be made two ways.

It is the perfect way to celebrate Friday and is sure to please everyone. Especially those that have a sweet tooth and are looking for something to savor all weekend long ;).

Also, if you’re into Heath bars or homemade candy in general, you’re welcome.

Because this recipe whips up in no time and is easy as can be, it has become one of my favorite things to make. It never ceases to surprise me how easy it is to make something so delicious and utterly scrumptious.

Because of this food blog, I have gained so much knowledge on how to make some of my favorite treats. It’s a terrible thing, and by terrible I mean absolutely wonderful! Continue reading

Pumpkin Spice Brulée Crullers & Honey ‘n Spice Glaze

Classic French Crullers with a scrumptious Fall twist and drizzled with a Drippy Honey and Spice Glaze.

French Crullers aka my favorite donuts of all time are back. And this time bursting with fall flavors and dripping with a finger-licking glaze.

It had to be done. Saturday morning was the picture-perfect fall day. The sun was shining in all its brilliance, crisp air smelled wonderful, and I was holding a freshly steeped cup of tea. The only thing missing… a donut, of course. My sweet hubby didn’t have to ask twice to hold one of them in his hands.

Oh, I should probably stop and apologize for already having two recipes with the words pumpkin spice on here. This early in the season. And in a row. Sawy! I seriously wasn’t planning any of this, but it happened, and it was absolutely dreamy. Can’t get enough! A fair warning – we have only just begun, but I’ll make sure to have lots of variety for you guys in the next couple of weeks as well.

Will you indulge me for another couple of minutes though? I promise it’s worth it ;). Continue reading

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup

Love Pumpkin Spice Lattes? Here’s the secret ingredients to achieving the coffee house taste and turn any latte into your fall favorite.

It’s Funday Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Does it possibly involve a trip to your favorite coffee shop? I caved on Monday and had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the week. Goodness, did I miss that taste.

The temperatures drastically dropped this week, we’re talking mid forties early in the morning and a couple of chilly nights already. Apparently, it’s supposed to be back to the 70’s land next week, which I’m keeping my fingers crossed for. You never know with our MN weather. But I will say that that pumpkin spice latte tasted pretty amazing on a cooler day.

The only thing I didn’t like was the price tag. Paying more than $5 dollars for a cup of coffee is something I rarely do. Anything for a PSL though ;). I still kept wondering if I could achieve the same taste at home.

Who knew the only thing I was missing is Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup. Continue reading
