So, I keep a list of recipes I want to make and publish on the blog. Over the last couple of months it has gotten quite a bit longer as you might imagine. It’s saved on my computer and everything is neatly organized, but I rarely take a look at it. The funny thing is that I have 3 additional lists laying all over our house – one in our silverware drawer, the second one next to my bed (you won’t believe how many recipes you see here were developed in the middle of the night. There a quite a few nights during which I toss and turn and finally decide to write things down, just so I can go to sleep), and the third one is taped to my laptop. A good old post-it note that has around 20 recipes on it. It’s anything but pretty, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. One thing a computer can’t give me is the satisfaction of crossing things off that list.
As I completed all recipes on my last note and was about to throw it away, my eyes caught a glimpse of “peanut butter truffles”. I quickly unfolded it and sure enough, I had missed one recipe. As I sat starring at it in disbelief, I knew the only cure was to get up and start rolling.
Looking at these, I know it was meant to be. No question about it. I just wish I had made them sooner! Continue reading
