Tuesday Love List

  bake-it-magazine

I know it’s long overdo, you guys. Love Lists are back! I hope you enjoy these types of posts because I really do ;). There are a lot of exciting things in today’s post, so let’s get started.

1. If you’re a regular reader, you might remember me talking about some freelance projects I’ve been blessed enough to work on. It’s finally time for me to let you know about one of them. A couple months back I got asked to shoot the cover for the lovely magazine you see above. I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get started. To say that I absolutely loved working on this, would be an understatement. I seriously had the best time and can’t even tell you what it felt like to hold this magazine in my hands. Beyond special and I immediately wanted to make donuts :).

It was released last Tuesday and is available on newsstands nationwide. I feel so weird telling you about this. I am SO not a salesperson and hate talking about myself, but I just have to give a massive shout out to the incredible team that puts these magazines together. The writing and recipes are absolutely mouthwatering – you will want to make EVERYTHING. I am not one that advertises a lot of things unless I truly and absolutely love them. This magazine is incredible and I am not just saying that because I got to work on it.  I feel so honored to appear with some of my fellow bloggers in a publication because they are so talented and create some of the best stuff! Oh, and I just want to mention that the recipes I am sharing on the cover are new and exclusive to the magazine. If you can’t seem to find it, but are interested in purchasing a copy, click HERE.

2. The Tangle Teezer. Have you heard of this amazing brush? I finally gave in and purchased one at Target the other day. Hair changed forever. Where has this brush been all my life? I have pretty thick & long hair and have been looking for something that would be gentle enough on my hair, but still gets the work done. If you’re looking for the one and only brush you’ll ever need, this is the one. Also, I think this brush would be great for kids that hate getting their hair done. Can’t say enough good things!

3. Siggi’s Pumpkin Spice Yogurt. Can’t stop won’t stop.

4. These girls have stolen my heart. That’s right, Adam and I added two little guinea pig ladies to the family. There’s Pippa on the left and Pippin on the right, snuggling with momma. It was a super spontaneous decision and we definitely don’t regret it. Just look at their faces!

5. I can’t get over this recipe. Comfort food is the best!

cookbooks

6. Cookbooks. I feel like so many great cookbooks have been released or are about to be released. Can’t wait to flip through these.

Top with Cinnamon, The Baking Bible, Dominique Ansel – The Secret Recipes, Sugar Rush.

7. This Cake is insane! I can’t stop thinking about it!

8. I’m finally on Instagram. Don’t know what took me so long, but I finally joined. Follow me @ deliciouslyyum, if you like!

9. Lipsticks. I’ve never been a huge lip gloss person (don’t like the stickiness) and am ALL about lipsticks, especially this time of year. I am loving this one and this one right now. The first one is a bright red with hints of orange (yes, orange) and the second one is the perfect reddish berry shade. So pretty and they stay on forever.

10. Drooling over this salad. UGH – so good!

What have you been loving this month?? Share if there is anything I should get my hands on ;).

{I received compensation for my work on the magazine, but am in no way obligated to advertise for it. None of this is sponsored, I am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above or accept free products. Everything was 100% purchased and loved by me.}

  1. Congrats girl!! That is so awesome. Right when your site loaded and I saw the picture on the cover of the mag I had a feeling you shot it. It’s your (totally fab) photography style. So cool, I’ll have to check it out! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m also going out tomorrow and finding that red with orange undertones lipstick. I’ve been on the hunt for that exact shade but always chicken out buying one because I convince myself they wouldn’t stay on. THANK YOU for the suggestion. Love that price, too! Enjoy your weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Congratulations Kathi! That is amazing and you should be so proud! I hope you bought like a dozen and have them framed all over your house. ๐Ÿ™‚ That is a gorgeous picture, too. And thank you for the shout-out! Much appreciated. Air kiss!

  3. OMG! CONGRATS, KATHI! You are truly one of the best food photographers I know, and I stop by often just to check out your photos! You should be so proud of yourself. I certainly am! xoxoxoxoxo

  4. KATHI! This is incredible! I am so excited for you! The mag cover is gorgeous…but I expect nothing less coming from you. What an amazing opportunity! I bet holding it in your hands was such a surreal moment. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pippa and Pippin are SO cute! They look like tons of fun!

I’m not a fan of lipgloss stickiness either. It feels weird, and my hair or (or the cat’s) always get stuck in it. Lipstick is where it’s at. Thanks for the recs!
